Cute overload.

So I talk all the time about how babies make me incredibly uncomfortable (which they do) but that doesn't mean I am immune to cute things.
Yesterday not one, but TWO of these creatures came into the store and I was so overcome with cute that I had to sit down.

You really have to see them in person, these google images don't do them justice, I couldn't stop squealing.

Obsessions

I've been in something of a weird holding pattern lately. I'll spare you the details because I don't think anybody gives a shit, but I have developed a few new fixations this winter while trying to get over my one big fixation.

1. Hot toddies. Why did I take me so long to get into them? It's tea...with booze in it! If you take the time to stud the lemon with cloves: perfection.
2. Kale. A superfood. Ive started eating it every day and boy am I regular, let me tell you.
3. Yoga. I never thought I would say it, but thank you Taylor and Yoga to the People (http://www.yogatothepeople.com/berkeley/sf-directions.shtml)

These actually sound like rather moderate fixations, healthy even. I should probably mention that I've also turned into a total burnout this month, but lets focus on the positive, ok people?

Hangover Breakfast

Sometimes I wake up hungover, hungry, and broke.
I'm sure nobody out there can relate to that.
Anyway, yesterday I woke up in that exact predicament a half an hour before I had to be at work and made the perfect hangover breakfast using the contents of my refrigerator.

I diced up half a sausage and sauteed it in a pan with a shallot, threw in a handful of leftover spaghetti, cracked an egg over the top and stir fried it all together before adding a generous amount of shredded cheese. Then I topped it with lots and lots of hot sauce.

Power breakfast.

Lately

January has been a funny month. As of the 9th, I have now lived in San Francisco for 1 year. Yay. As of the 15th, I have become a TV star (not really.)

The Food Network spent two days filming at my store. The host of the pilot being filming was the star of the now canceled "Big Daddy's House." This is what he looks like:

For years people have told me I look pissed off when I walk around casually. This was confirmed when I met Aaron, who said: "Damn girl, when I saw you earlier I thought to myself, wow, she is soooo attractive... and soooo angry lookin'."

So yeah, Big Daddy told me I was cute and angry. Rad. He also told me I have "chocolate-chip muscles" whatever the fuck that means.

Snack time

Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, on pancakes.
Yum

Time for a New Years Blog...

I have always found New years a bit overrated. I mean, its a celebration of the re-starting of the calender, but for some reason it makes people want to sit back and reflect. And drink. Its a great holiday for reflective alcoholics.
This New Years Eve, I accidentally ate something that made the walls melt off, leaving me with plenty of time for reflection in the early hours of 2010.

I was going to make a list of things that happened to me in 2009, but the only one I really want to talk about is my move to San Francisco. On January 9th I will have lived here for one year. That is the same day as my work's big one year anniversary party, which means that I can celebrate the best decision of my twenties with a big ass party that I don't have to pay for.

Sometimes I love San Francisco so much, I want to marry it.
Cheesy, I know.
